Apologies for the problems with adding data to the website the last few days. It seems that we used up all our allocated space on the database. Usually we get a warning email from the web host when we're near the limit, but didn't get anything this time.
We've increased the quota, so you should be able to log rides, bikes etc now.

Bulk Uploads
The Bulk Upload facility is designed for situations where someone has a lot of rides which need to be uploaded in one go. Please do not submit a file with only one or two rides in as this defeats the whole point of this function, and would take longer to process automatically than to enter manually.
In future, we will not process any file submitted which has less than 15 rides.

Bulk Uploads
For anyone who has a back log of rides to enter, Cyclogs now offers a bulk upload facility which allows you to enter your rides in a text file and then upload them.
Instructions
- Download the template from http://cyclogs.org/public/ridetemplate.csv
- Fill in your rides
- Email the completed template to bulkupload@cyclogs.org
- They will be uploaded within a few days
- The template file is in CSV format, which means that you can open and edit it in Microsoft Excel, or just use any text editor.
- Remember to enter your user name in the first row of the file
- Please ensure that you enter names of existing routes, bikes, ride types and teams EXACTLY as spelt in your user profile, otherwise the bulk upload will assume they are new items and create new entries for them
- You can enter new bikes, routes and ride types - new entries will be created automatically. However, this does not apply to teams
- This is not an automatic process - we decided that it would be too risky to allow anyone to upload potentially huge amounts of data into the database. We have an automatic process which reads the completed template file, then generates a database insert script from the data. This will then be run manually, so there will be a delay between emailing the file and it being uploaded.

Public Routes
You may have noticed that in the revamped Route maintenance page, there is a "Shared?" checkbox. The idea behind this is that if a ride is shared, then other users will be able to log rides against it. Each shared route would have its own profile page with a Bikely map and a list of the latest rides and fastest rides on that route. The idea is that team members could share their common routes, and monitor other team members' performance on that route.
What does everyone think? Is this something people would use?
